Ha ha. Not me! But it seems everyone in Amsterdam does. I found it a bit tricky at times staying out of the bicycle lane. Especially since it is red here not green. I think it was because I was too busy trying to not get run over by the trams and the buses and the cars who are all occupying the oposite side of the road to what I am used to. I managed to stay unsquashed so that is good.
Today I walked about 12 k. My feet hurt. We decided to check out Anne Frank's house. The queue was 2 hours long. We stood in it for about an hour and then decided bugger this, we'll go somewhere else and then come back and see if it has got any shorter. So we went to the Rijks Museum instead as Alison wanted to see the Night Watch painting by Rembrandt. It is a pretty spectacular painting and it looks like it has spot lights on it. But it doesn't, it's just the way it is painted. After that we ate our lunch in the lobby area. We had taken some stuff from breakfast again and had that. When we got back to the Anne Frank house the queue was the same length as when we had left it but it was starting to get a bit drizzly and my feet were sore and I didn't really want to wait so we decided to skip it. Maybe next time.
While waiting in the queue at midday some sirens went off. Apparently Amsterdam does that at midday. It certainly was interesting. I will post some pictures later when I get sent them. Tomorrow we are on the train for 12 hoirs as we head to Warsaw via Berlin.
