Innsbruck...sorry about the boring title

Today saw us on a train again heading to Innsbruck, a small place by the mountains.  We are staying in a Youth Hostel and the internet is located in the communal room next to the kitchen.  There are a few people here but mainly keeping to themselves as they are hooked up to devices.  The view out of the window of the Alps is stunning and, behind us, there is the wonderful white noise of the autobahn.

We started the morning looking through Mozart's house.  There were lots of his original instruments and music on display.  We have come to the conclusion that he was probably a little brat who was spoiled all the time.  Everything in Salzburg seems to be about Mozart and a lot of the souvenirs are branded with his image.  I bought some Mozart chocolates because they are quite nice. I might even have some left when I get back (yeah right!).

Train travel is awesome.  One minute I was taking a photo of the speed and it was this...

...nek minnit!

Sorry about it being blurry!
We went for a walk after we arrived to make the most of the last of the daylight.  The alps are very pretty but there isn't much snow.  There is a little war cemetary that we can see from the window and we went and had a look at it.  It was strange seeing the graves of Turkish soldiers there.  The Turkish memorials had little Turkish hats on them.  We went around the block and on the way back grabbed some dinner from a Pizza place up the road.  Have plenty left over for breakfast and possibly even lunch tomorrow.  Someone was smoking in the little place we bought dinner from amd the last two nights we have been asked if we want the smoking or non smoking section of the restaurant.  It's bizarre that people can still smoke inside restaurants here.  But a quick google of the smoking laws reveals it isn't for that much longer.

Tomorrow it is off to Switzerland for a few days.  Again, by train.  First class all the way!  Such a great way to travel.
